GIFs opening in b&w?

Hey, I'm having trouble with animation and wondered if I could get some help? :) I use File>Import>Video Frame To Layers to open a GIF in order to edit it. Every time I open do this though, it automatically opens in black and white? The mode says I'm viewing it in RBG color though.. does anyone know what's happening? I'm using CS5. :)

Thank you.

animation: mini movies, program: photoshop, animation: animated gifs, colouring: black & white

I just drag and drop a gif I want to edit and it works with the layers for me. if you try it like this, does it still stay the same?

Thanks. :) I tried to drag and drop the GIF in photoshop, but I'm getting the 'you can only view one frame at a time' blah blah error. D:

Basically, I want to be able to open an animated GIF in photoshop to edit it. I can open it the way I said up there ^^^^ but it always opens in B + W for some reason. ;___;

weird, it has always worked for me like this and I'm using CS5 as well.
I just commented, 'cause importing the gifs like that seemed a little unnecessary for me, but if you have trouble otherwise... then I have no idea, sorry oo'
