confusing cropping error

This problem just started last night, and I have absolutely no idea what's going on. Every time I try to crop something, this happens: http://i50.tinypic.com/4g0miv.png
I'm using CS4.

Any ideas?

You have your crop set for the size of 1 pixel (see the bar at top). Just clear it and you should be fine :)
