Make a pictures as new

Hello! This is my first post here and the tutorials here helped me a lot! But I have a problem and I couldn't find the right solution in the tutorials.
I have some pictures of Led Zeppelin I want to use for icons. the problem is the pictures are not really good quality. I would like to have them sharper. A way to make them look newer or better

is really good if you use PSP, but its translatable.

Sharpen it, only once or twice though, or maybe try high pass sharpen.

Thanks! I tried it today but it doesnt work with the tutorial. My pictures turns out orange. Maybe if I use PSP but I only have an old version.

I use Photoshop CS1 (yeah kind of old! but it works) but I can give it a try!
I have somewhere a cd of PSP (a old version).
