color help

i've read the tutorial about screen calibrating, but my images always turn out duller and less vibrant when i upload them online as opposed to how they look in photoshop.

other things i've read say i need to use sRGB under save for web and devices, but i don't have that option. can anybody help me figure out a way to fix this?

there is no such option when saving, it's not just you. make sure you've got 'rgb color' selected from the menu under image/mode.

are you working on a mac or pc? also, which browser are you using?

i am using a mac, and it does this on firefox as well as google chrome.

i've even gone into color settings and done what that popular tutorial has said to, aaaaand it still doesn't work.

i can't speak to how chrome works, but the newest FF doesn't display colors correctly. there's a color management plugin that fixes the problem. maybe try that and see if it helps what you're seeing.
