I use .mov to import clips, that always works well for me. I have the same problem when I use .avi, so I use a online converter to make it .mov, and then it works fine!

there are a multitude of them available....google for 'online video converter' and pick whichever one turns your fancy.

Usually when it's AVI it doesn't work on Imageready, it works with .mov .mp4 or .mpg pretty much any file that quicktime reads.

You should use ImageGrab to make caps from videos, it's really good and fast then you just import frames from folder from IR

I don`t have Image Ready. Just Photoshop CS3.

I used to have that one, didn't like it =P I'm still faithful to CS lol.
But I think there's an option in there where you can import from frames instead of a video, cause it's a pain in the ass when most of the videos are AVI, you can try and convert them but still it won't work, unless you download SUPER (that one can convert pretty much all the files you want to any other type and usually work) thou it uses a lot of resources from your PC

I think that you have to use just .mpeg videos, yup. It does work every time, I only use .mpeg's and what if the video isn't this type? You just have to download a video convertor, this way I use "Avi to Mpeg". Good luck :D

unfortunately it is true. well let me find a way to help you. I'll test some others types of videos on my CS3 and then I tell you if works.
