live journal has a scrapbook option which works very well. If I didn't have my own website, I would use that for my icons, without any worries.

Photobucket tends to do that, i've noticed it in my uploaded files a lot over the past year or so. For bigger images where its more noticable, try using Tiny pic for less colour sappyness. xD

I haven't noticed that before with mine, but my computer screen might just be different. Did you try Imageshack? That's the only other one I can think of.

im using picasa web from google . all you need is a gmail account and upload they icons using [Fireuploader] a firefox extension or manually uploading it :D
