I know this has been asked a million times, and I actually went through the tutorials and could not seem to find what I was looking for. I'm working on a project for work that needs to use very specific colors, but when I transfer the file from Adobe Illustrator into photoshop or try to save in photoshop, the colors are faded out. It sounds like your color settings may be different from program to program. Go under Edit > Color Settings and tweak it there.

I'm using CS4 at work and I do have a LITTLE bit of color shift (mine is a touch darker in PS than in Illustrator, I think) but my settings in Illustrator are:

North American Gen. Purpose 2
sRGB IEC6 1966-2.1
US Web Coated (SWOP) v2

In PS I use those same settings, just set your gray & spot dot gains at 20%.
