I have the same issues with text. About muted coloring I see icons like 4 and 9 are pretty good muted imo.

Those two were fairly easy to color cuz of the original images, but I find it far harder to achieve muted coloring with caps, and I definitely can't do it consistently like numerous other makers can.

I've said this before but let me just repeat that your text work is beyond awesome and idk how it could be any better??!? :O
some of your worst icons are amazing, especially the first three. and I'm still in love with that second weird/funny icon, it still impresses me so much even though I should be used to it already : D and love all your favorite icons too, especially the first one.

I actually really like the first four of your "worst" icons. The lighting, contrast, and shininess of each is beautiful, and the first one has an especially gorgeous crop! I fucking love how crazy your icons can be and yet you can also execute simpler pieces very well.

I really reuse the same textures over and over again lately, including a few of yours. I can't help it! :P

I don't remember if I ever commented to the batch that #4 comes from but it really is freaking excellent *__* and the pink painty Sam is one of my favorite SPN icons I've seen this far and that's saying a lot cause everyone makes such perfect SPN icons!
and yes you're absolutely right about the texture use, it has become all kinds of perfect this year!

OMG. That Rose icon is hilarious and scary at the same time! Your close crops are simply stunning, my dear.

I can't do blocking, and I gave up trying long ago. It just frustrates me how seamlessly others can do it!

Wow, it's awesome that you posted those Rse icons here cause I totally wanted to upload #4 back when I first saw it but I remember that being such a busy time for me that it somehow slipped my mind. Now though, totally snagging that icon with credit. I can't get over how awesome your lighting is, especially in all those favorite icons of yours!

Also whoa how can you think you're not good at complexity?? #1 from the favorites is fairly complex and it's freaking fantastic! The same goes for #8, and the weird/funny icons too :>

Dude, all your Sayid and Sawyer close crops from your last post were gorgeous so I don't know what you're talking about! And considering how consistently odd your work is, I bet it was hard to pick just a few to show off for the "weird/funny" portion. I love the constant quirk and charm in your icons! Also, that fifth "worst" icon has such fantastic coloring and lighting. What don't you like about it? The seventh one has an amazing crop and lovely earthy coloring, too. So surprising to me that you don't like that one!

I want to focus on improving at creativity and how to execute creative concepts while still keeping the icons aesthetically pleasing rather than just weird.
It's funny, but I often don't care if my results are what most would deem pretty or useable. I just want my icons to have personality and be provocative somehow, to make people look closer at them.

Yeah, that bow tie one still makes me life cuz it very much represents the whimsy of that Doctor! Very tongue in cheek with the text in all the others, too. They each have so much zest and zing

I actually really dig the crazy shine in all your "worst" icons. Also, laughing at the Keamy icon. That guy cracked me up even when he was being scary and intimidating! You make excellent complex icons as well as gorgeous simpler ones. I think that's something to really admire in any maker! :D

All those favorite icons are seriously breathtaking, but I also really like the 5th least favorite icon and Kim has a point in that they all have really cool lighting!
