Happy New Year, icon_talk!

As promised, it's time for our second round of Ask the Maker!Here you'll get the chance to ask icon makers who sign up, questions about their icons/graphics. You can ask for tutorials, guides/walk through, or simply ask a question regarding their work so the makers can compile a Q&A post, with the answers to all the questions

You're a great blender! Curious, at what canvas size do you do your initial work on?
Also ilhow a lot of your icons have a textured feel to them, would something like a top 5-10 texture mini-guide be possible?

i don't think my blending tecnique is that great (still have a lot to learn) but i will write about it!
and SURE for the texture miniguide! especially know that i've some favourite/most-used!

OMG I DISAGREE SO MUCH! I think it's really really great. :)
ALSO HOLY CRAP THAT ICON!!! It honestly stopped me dead in my tracks! Is the coloring thanks to you or did the original pic play into factor a lot?

That's one of my experiment the original pic is in black and white actually, when i saw the image i so so wanted to use it that i've tried on something new, well not new because i used gradient maps a lot but never this way before! It's fun!

about the other two, i don't actually remember exactly how i made them (no psds saved for those two), would you be interested in a ~general~ composition tuts? because i think i remember the composition of the icons but not the color (especially that amy one, the merlin one shouldn't be that hard about colors XD)
