July 1st means it's time for round 9 of Ask the Maker here at icon_talk!

Here you'll get the chance to ask icon makers who sign up questions about their icons and other graphics. You can ask for tutorials, guides/"How to", or ask any other questions related their work so these makers can create a Q&A post with the answers to all the questions they get. As

What can we request from you (tutorials, Q&A, guides etc. .PSDs are not allowed: Q&A only, since I failed to do everything last time I signed up and I don't want to levae people hanging again.

How do you decide which images/characters to icon? Is it something you put a lot of thought into or is it as inspiration strikes?

Do you have any sort of default steps that you take for making each icon? All of your work has such vibrant colors.
