Ask the Maker 2016!

It's June, that means it's time for round 8 of Ask the Maker here at icon_talkHere you'll get the chance to ask icon makers who sign up questions about their icons and other graphics. You can ask for tutorials, guides/"How to", or ask any other questions related their work so these makers can create a Q&A post with the answers to all the questions they get

I wanted to apologize for last time. Due to a number of things, unfortunately I didn't make all the tutorials requested, I'm very sorry about that. Though I still plan to make them a bit at a time!

Could you write a guide or explain how you get the really vibrant strong colors but manage to keep the skin so clear and light? Like in these icons, for example:

I'm actually really glad that you noticed this! When I'm not doing something particular or different, this is my "standard goal" so to speak. I don't have a specific way to achieve this, but I'll try to put something together to try and explain it :)
