Tutorial: Liv Tyler Icon

A quick & easy way to make the following icon (featuring Liv Tyler) in PSP8:

Start with this image from Lovely Liv Tyler (click to view full size):

Crop it & resize it to 100x100.

Duplicate the layer & move it around a bit. Delete the parts covering Liv's face on the bottom layer.

Then go ahead & sharpen those two layers.

Use some sort of frame or border brush (I used my own photo frame brush) in the color #CCBDA6. (Depending on the brush, you may have to duplicate it about 3 or 4 times so it will show up nicely.)

Paste this gradient (sorry, but I don't know who made it) as a new layer & set it to Saturation 100%.

Paste this gradient (already in the gradient palette for you PSP8 users) as a new layer & set it to Overlay 100%. Then go to Image>>Flip.

Paste that same gradient as another layer, flip it as well, & set it to Saturation (Legacy) 100%.

Make a new layer & use the flood fill tool with this color: #CCBDA6. Set the layer to Burn 50%.

Lastly, take this pink gradient of mine (which can be downloaded here) & paste it as a new layer & set it to Burn 100%.

& voila! That's all there is to it. :)
