My absentee ballot for voting in Allen (since I was lazy and missed the registration change deadline to switch to Austin) arrived this afternoon in the mail. Unfortunately, the rule is that it has to be received by the county clerk by tomorrow 7 pm, not postmarked by then. I still stuck it in the mail at a box that would pick up at 7 pm today,

One of my office-mates from CA had the same problem, it arrived yesterday. He didn't even bother to try to send it. In his case, I'm not sure it was even partly his fault.
