It occured to me that I could have had so much fun with my hair had I been this age in the 70's or in the 80's. Unfortunately after living through the 90's (or, the age of Friends) I feel this strange pressure to have silky, straight hair

I lived through the late seventies with my older friends and cousins feathering my hair and the eighties with the perms, but I would rather have the straight hair, except for the time I got a perm after Haing Hailey because I wanted to recapture my youth.

Oh, don't worry! It's close to being the 30-year cycle, and the 80's hair will be back before you know it! I think your hair is gorgeous, and I always loved the big hair of the 80's, but I preferred seeing the bouncy curls the roller sets produced.

Since my mind is still stuck in the 80's, I'll be so happy in a few years when those hairstyles become mainstream here in Texas.
