So, today we traded in my piece-o'-crap Daewoo. I love that car, she was my first, but she had to go! The air conditioning died about a year ago & fixing it would've cost more than the value of the car (at the state she was in, we were told that top dollar was $900 private party, $600 trade in). So, we went to a Toyota dealership in Brandon.

She's bright red - it's called Barcelon Red. That's why I was able to keept the name Scarlet Harlot.

Thanks for the tips about the various dealerships. You would think that in a time like this, with other carmakers being on the brink of extinction and poor sales due to the economy, that dealerships would emphasize good customer service. What a bunch of morons.

BTW, a suggestion - if you get any extra time online, go to every related consumer site (and possibly the main Toyota website) and share your experience. It might cost those creeps a few other sales.

Congratz on the new car. It is always a fun moment when you drive it off the lot for the first time. :o) As for ass-hat sales people, you did the right thing ... Leave them empty handed ... And if you get a notice that they ran a credit check on you ... report them to the fraud and abuse line at the credit agency.
