day 9: disappointment...

so our 'perfect day' that was on the models this morning turned out to be nothing at all - the moisture that was there this morning never showed up. we turned in early in belleville, kansas. after a short dinner with some of the guys, we went to the hot tub to attempt to play bullshit with plastic cards - this was cut short when we discovered that

So from what I gather you've been seeing the Vortex crew as well? Sounds like you're having a good time though. I do hope you find something to make the trip perfect for you :)

we've actually seen vortex2 at every storm we've gone after, which is awesome for us, if only in the sense that our thinking is along the same lines as theirs. i imagine they have access to more data and such than we do, as well as a whole lot of experts.

tomorrow looks good, hopefully that'll be the big one, but i'm pleased with everything as it has been if nothing comes up. it's been a good time with great people, and a huge learning experience.
