Never any rest for the weary, but special requests are always fun, so no complaints from me! I did finish the hugemongous order and got it mailed off last Friday, and as of yesterday it has arrived safely...and now I need to write up descriptions. But, pair that with closing last night and opening this morning, and nooooo thank you, at least for ( Read more... )

Hey, it's not fat, it's just well-fed. ;) Great work with the black patterns, by the way. :)

Yeah! That'll teach it to feast on horses! (I love them, but horses are pretty fat!) And thank you! I check for a lot of pattern references when replicating animals in plush form. It's a fun challenge! (And don't ask why I'm up, as I feared I fell asleep soon after making the post and slept all evening, so now I'm having trouble sleeping. Bah!)

I do, too, so when I get curious people with special requests I'm more than happy to make them! (As long as they're possible.) It's a lot of fun! There are a lot of cats and raptors (the birds, not the dinosaurs!) to combine together. In fact, the other day I was chatting with a friend about continent-specific Gryphons. A North American Gryphon being the combination of a Bald Eagle and a Cougar, for instance. It would be neat to do something special for each continent...maybe. ^_-

Oh, he's definitely fat. I still have the first plush that turned out well in my car, and he's nowhere near so fat! I really do need to alter the pattern a tad.

Nice! I'd not be surprised if they did inspire some artists to depict Gryphons with ears. It reminds me of a lot of older artwork/heraldic crests depicting Gryphons.
