Apparently Eastern-inspired dragons are a thing now.

I really think I got lucky, or maybe there's something to Asian dragons bringing luck, but after a bit of research on Chinese dragons specifically, I doodled a concept, drew out a pattern, then, after a long day away from home, I finally tested it out. And...considering I didn't want to do things like cut out spines forever, I think I'm in love:

Nice! :) I'm not sure what it'd do to the balance of the figure, but Asian-styled dragons can have even longer bodies and tails than that for extra "adorability". ;)

That's a good question, actually. I should have posed it next to a regular plush, as it is actually a great deal longer. The fur alone was over a foot long. It was actually a bit hard to stuff this guy because of the length, too, so I'm not sure I'd want to make it much longer. Unless, of course, I just made a larger plush entirely. ;)

Aahhh!! That's's gorgeous!! The detail is pretty astounding and I love the little pronged horns. :)

I'm sure your friend is going to be thrilled with the dragon (I know I'd be!!) :D

The pronged horns are my favorite part! I'm going to have to make more critters with horns, methinks. :D

Oh, she loved it! She joked she's going to put it in her sewing room to chase the bad spirits away. ^_- (And I'd be more than happy to make one for you should you want one. I definitely want to make more!)

Then tell me, what would your preferred color combination be? :D (I'm still trying to figure out good colors to go together in my head, with mixed results.)

...you are the most fortunate person I know, as that's the ONE color I have many hues of. So...I'll get back to you on that, once I'm past this next week. (Retail insanity awaits me!)
