It knows where you are, but you only THINK you know where it is...

This silly thing has been bugging me for the past few days, "Sew me, sew me, sew me!" So much so, I quickly threw together a test pattern and cut it out the other night, then after finishing some other projects earlier, I tested it out. Here's the end result:

Oooh, lookit~! How cute! :D

You certainly have a knack for making dangerous and deadly mythical creatures become cute and cuddly! What an adorable Displacer Beast- I just want to reach out and hug it!
(Of course, I have to hope that it really is where it appears to be, so that I'm able to actually hug the cute little thing... that could be a problem. Haha~ XD)

Unlike their game kin, I would think the plush versions want to be hugged, so it would be very possible. At least, this one didn't balk when I was wanting to pose it for the picture. ^_-

Not bad at all, but aren't displacer beasts supposed to be more... feline-looking? Perhaps the head could use a bit of change in that direction.

Yes, they are, and the pattern was, but something happened from pattern to plush. I'm going to try another soon and try for more feline, including the eyes being closer to the front of the face, so stay tuned!

This is a neat design. Is a "diplacer beast" an established creature or did you make it up yourself?

The Displacer Beast is a classic D&D monster, it's been around since the start. I figured since the Owlbear, another classic D&D monster, went over so well, I ought to try plushifying another. (When it comes to monster designs, I'm not so great at it. At least as far as totally original monsters go! I have been having fun taking existing monsters and making them work in plush form.)

The irony in all of this is that I've never encountered a Displacer Beast in any of my D&D campaigns...

Tsk, tsk! Women... ;)

No, really, think "cougar with tentacles coming out of its shoulders" and you're on the right track. A Displacer Beast is essentially a cat-like monster with an extra pair of legs, and those tentacles coming out of its shoulders. Oh, and it's Evil. So, there you go!

Nah, that would just be silly! And never big enough! These all choose where they want to live, be it my dungeon, or yours. They're not picky. ;)

Jokes fall flat on the internet. I'm obviously a woman, so a woman tsking another woman for being a woman is just silly. ;)

Ha! And the big thing about D&D is that it brings together a group of anti-social people who try to work together long enough for the game to even work. For more information on game groups, look here.
