Ichigo’s hand froze on the door of the closet. He looked to see who had yelled at him. “What’s wrong?” he asked Rukia, who had seemingly materialised behind him. She might have, since she was in shinigami uniform. For some reason, she was glaring at him.
“Are you deaf? I told you not to open it!”
“Yeah, and I’m asking why I can’t open my own closet.” Ichigo turned and crossed his arms, trying to stare her down. “Are you keeping Hollows in there or something?”
“No!”
“Then why can’t I open MY closet that’s in MY room?”
“Because I said so!”
Of all the unreasonable things - ! “You don’t even SLEEP there anymore!” he retorted, gesturing towards the closed door. “You share a room with my sisters!”
Rukia’s glare turned murderous, and her sword shifted dangerously in its sheath. “It’s still my closet!”
“Whatever,” said Ichigo. As usual, Rukia was mad, and retreat might be best while it was still an option. Over his shoulder, he tossed back, “You can have it.”
Rukia waited until his footsteps had faded from the stairs before opening the door.
“PYON!” cried the gigai, tackling Rukia to the floor.
“OOF!” Rukia shoved her off, and finally got a good look at what Pyon was wearing. “Please tell me that’s not what I think it is.”
“It’s very pretty and comfortable, pyon!” said Pyon petulantly, toying with a lacy hem.
“Don’t try on what I bought unless I give you permission. And give me back my lingerie!”
“… Yes Rukia-sama, pyon,” it said, trotting obediently after Rukia to change.
