So the All-City audition went really well. I was expecting there to be sight-reading and everyone to have a really difficult piece prepared, but it was nothing like that. Most people didn't have a piece, and if they did, they didn't have the sheet music, or it was nothing too hard. There was no sight-reading at all, but if we had a piece prepared ( Read more... )

That sounds cool!! You'll find that choirs can be really fun at times and really frustrating at times, but mostly fun. Sway is a fun song. Are you doing the Kirby Shaw arrangement?

People are surprised when young people can hit the really high notes. I haven't been able to figure out why...

Not sure about the arrangement...I'll check this week and get back to you ;D.

I dunno, either. Well, the chorus is made mostly of kids into pop...so I guess not that many of them really work on hitting high notes? I was thinking of asking around to see if anyone besides me takes classical voice.
