Gah, I haven't updated in forever.

I have soooo much stuff to say, but I'm gonna compress it.

First off, I don't think I mentioned that I got into the musical, but with a minor minor role ('willager", wtf). I decided to do it because my friend got in with the same (I bullied her into auditioning XD) and we thought it'd be fun.

Ugh, I know exactly how it feels to be scenery in a play! I got a very, very minor role in the play Pippin so I'm just going to be standing in the background like I did in Comedy of Errors, except this time it's a musical and not Shakespeare. I wanted to be a lead, but NO. It should still be fun, though. :)

Maybe I would be having fun if I wasn't a Junior and had a million important things to do, and maybe if the director what's a psychotic nutjob...but I only have another two weeks of suffering! XD;;

Well, you gotta start somewhere I guess. Sorry it sucks so much though. I had no idea Rent and Phantom couldn't be done in schools because they were still on Broadway. I just assumed they weren't appropriate for a highschool drama troup.

JHS do things like PotO and Wicked, so I guess it's not too out there for a High School to do it. But apparently it's illegal D:!

Huh. They all just seem like shows highschools wouldn't have the means to do. Phantom and Wicked have very expenive sets.

Urghh...that sucks about the musical...but at leats you got a part!! It's a start, right? Anyways, I think you'll get into the chorus easy because you sound like you have a good voice, and you're diligent enough...unlike half the people in my choir... Good luck with that!!!

All the best in that musical. Directors of ANY kinda of artistic function are going to be huge butt holes. *Pats* I've been there. During the last few rehearsals for Messiah, the conductor (who is normally docile) wen't kinda coo-koo. I blame the stress but still...I thought he was going to eat me when I sang that one run the wrong way. *Shudder* XD

Anyways...I hope all the ranting on my LJ hasn't been bothering you. Popera/classical crossover SERIOUSLY gets to me. HW, KJ, and that one prick Holly Stell need to die. Die or stop singing. Which ever's the most convenient...
