First saw this in laridian's journal, and then subsequently in many other people's, so I thought I'd have a go at it myself.

I think the thing that I enjoy about this meme, even more than the possible discovery of new books to seek out and read, is seeing the reasons behind why different books have different meaning for different people. I find it just fascinating, the places we take literature, and how we integrate it into our lives and persons. And really, that's just so cool. :)

#6 on your list triggered a memory, as well (and now I really want to seek out that book and read it for myself!). My maternal grandmother had a book like that, only it was "Into the Unknown". I can't remember the author/publisher off the top of my head, but it was basically a compendium of the different superstitions and supernatural phenomena as recorded throughout human history. And it was so cool. I would page through that book every time we went to visit them, and I wanted it so bad, it wasn't even funny. I eventually found a copy of my own in a used bookstore (are they not the best things ever dreamed up, really? ^^). I should've asked for that book when my ( ... )

I hope that you CAN get published one day. Honestly, when I first read Shards, I was like, "I wonder if she's ever tried getting published?" Also, just reading through your entries and all, you just have a way with words. I believe that you can get published, for what that's worth from me. I may have only gotten a taste of what you can do, but you can even make a list of 15 of your favorite books a really cool read! I don't know many who can do that!

I completely forgot about "Charlotte's Web". I loved that book (so much so, I named a little crocheted mouse Templeton).
