I just have to say, your sims are wonderful looking. Realistic but not overly done at all. I loved reading the whole thing and then just going back and looking at all the pics again. It was like looking at someone's vacation snaps (which I suppose they are, huh?).
Thank you so much! Usually my Sim stories take place in a very strictly "Sim" world, but in this case, since it's a CoH story, I had to be more realistic, because CoH takes place in the "real" world (sort of). I'm glad to know that I hit the right balance.
Great job. This had me almost tearing up. Ter's story seems so much sadder with this as a refrence point and you can see in a way why he's always surrounding himself with kids. It's like he's trying to recreate this family. Or a family similar to this. :(
Thank you for reading. ^_^ And while I can't speak entirely for Laridian's character, you've probably hit exactly on one of the reasons why Ter's so obsessive-compulsive about family and trying to be a good parent, especially for orphans.
I love the references to Paragon, and of course the bit about how if Ter will eat a bench brownie, he won't let a bit of raw fish slow him down. XD
Your storm effects are gorgeous. I am so jealous. They make my recent Ray's-fire-powers shot look so tyro. You are the queen of beautiful staging and sets and shots. Everything comes together so beautifully, and you do such great decorating.
I sympathize with Ter on the woody tea! I learned to my regret that "earthy" is synonymous with "grass clippings" when I tried some variant teas, so I can relate! *laughs* and the teeny cups, too. "The taste is so bad, and the portions are so small!"
Ter looks so much like a skinny teenager in that skin. ^^;;
Kairi is beautiful!
And "awwwww" again, at Ter finally feeling like he's part of a family.
Thank you, again, so much for posting this. It was so much fun to read and think about today at work. :)

I love the tie-in with the bonsai Ter has in CoH Sims. Now we know where he got it! Man, I feel bad for sending Ter off to school now.
(And I would write more but I have to get to work! So I will write more when I get back.)

And your sims are beautiful - just right between realistic and cartoony. *applauds* And I love Kairi's braid, it looks wonderful on her.
