Snow and Tiny waited in the hall until Shade emerged from showering. Most of the paint had scrubbed off, but streaks remained in his blue hair that would probably last for awhile. He gave them a dirty look, as they stifled giggles.
The next day, after being sure Simaster was out on a mission, Shade got his toolbelt.

It had been a long rough mission and Simaster just wanted to sleep. Not bothering with the light, he shut his door and made for the bed, but bumped into a pile of something on the floor that clattered. Puzzled, he hit the light, and found all his furniture - bed, desk, bookshelves - disassembled into neat piles.
All of the hardware was missing.
