I've discovered that I think waaaaay too much when I write. As a result, it takes me forever to write anything. Seriously. About two pages of writing tonight took me something close to 3 hours. This is why it takes me months to post anything! I really need to do something about this. Work on my stream of consciousness process or some junk,

I'm guessing you're already in bed, but may I suggest 15_minute_fic? A prompt word is under a cut, and when you look at it, you have 15 minutes to write an entire ficlet. It's a great way for writing "under the gun". The first community was 15minuteficlets if you get into this, though that one is no longer updated. I used to do a lot of these. It's great for practicing "improv" writing. And no going back to polish up. ;)
