I keep on forgetting that Izzy is still a kitten. She's gone on a growth spurt in the month that I've had her: I've caught her stretched out doagonally on the sofa and the tips of her paws touch one end of a cushion and the end of her tail hangs off the other end. She's almost as long as Boots was when she was an adult (or maybe Boots was just a ( Read more... )

Kitties just... love sleeping at all stages of their life, I think? And sometimes just blowing off all of that energy by going totally nuts? My stepmum's cat is in that intermediate stage where he's fairly active - I think he spends most of his time peeping out the window instead of sleeping, for now.

I also really need to get back into drinking water. I'm usually pretty good, but when I was sick I drank tea all the time instead. And now that I'm not sick I don't really seem to do either. It's awful, I can really tell the difference in my skin and throat - especially when I just wake up. Body, I'm sorry!

I think she tries to peep at people through my bedroom window, but then she winds up passing out instead. I came home one evening to find her asleep with her face smooshed up against the glass, which was one of those times I wished I had my camera handy.

Her midnight crazies used to go off at 8 or 9:00, but lately they've been pushed back to 10 or 11. They last for about ten to fifteen minutes and then she's out for the rest of the night. I guess it's their "I'VE BEEN SLEEPING ALL DAY, MUST DO SOMETHING!!!" mode?

I have a tall glass at work that holds 24 ounces. I normally drink three or four of those, but lately I really haven't made an effort to get a refill after the first one. Going to have to set post-it reminders on my monitor or something!

My stepmum's cat has those midnight crazies too! And then on Christmas he gets extra crazy because there are so many people and will just run around the house in circles. To make matters worse, my cousin often dares to sit in HIS chair. Crazy!

I'm usually pretty good at work because when I drink a lot of water I have to get up and pee a lot - a perfect time to get more water! You could always set some Outlook reminders? haha Though they can be awkward when they pop up at inconvenient times!
