I had left the battery cover on the battery and tried putting it into the camera. It looks like a complete battery. No obvious seams or anything. Just a thin sheet of plastic that surrounds it. Once I read the instructions printed on the battery casing it all became painfully obvious about what I had done. so I took off the battery casing and it fit snugly into the camera.
