Summer to winter

Justed wanted to commend you for your stamina - you've sticking with the skating for quite a while now. I've tried several times to do something outside of work that runs on a fixed schedule but it never lasts long because I either have to work late or am too shattered to haul my ass to where I've got to go, and once you miss a certain amount of classes you get less and less motivated because you've missed so much. So, kudos for sticking it out and having the self-dicipline to see it through. Good on you!

Thanks!

I think part of it is the way the rink gives a discount if you sign up for each round of classes well in advance, so it's basically a somewhat high sunk cost I'll be damned if I'm losing. Plus I want to keep progressing through the levels, which I won't do if I miss class or skip a practice. But mostly I just really like skating. I like learning each new skill (well, maybe not the thrice-damned hockey stop). And it's a good way of actually getting some exercise, which I won't do unless it's mentally stimulating like skating or dancing.

Thanks again for a lovely lunch! I passed on the duplex so am still browsing ads and everything. I may end up staying with a friend's mother for a while if necessary, but I am not deterred. I will find something!
