Because god forbid I actually do any work this weekend1, I watched the Very Last Episode of Corner Gas. I haven't seen anything since the end of S4, but it's not like this show is serialized or anything, so I was able to follow as well as ever. It was a pretty good send off, all things considered. Show: "Officer Karen Pelly and Sergeant Davis Quinton eventually fell in love and got married."
Me: "OMGSQUEE!!1!!1!1!!!eleventy!!!! Wait, there's still space at the bottom of the screen..."
Show: "But not to each other."
Me: "D'OH!"

I did the SAME THING, OMG. That was so mean of them. *chuckle*

The last two seasons have been good, and although I wasn't quite ready for the show to end, they did go out well. I cringed when they started the "fates" stuff (after Due South I learned to hate that sort of ending), but they did good by not shaking things up too much.

Yep. I pretty much expected this kind of ending, though--not much else you can do for a series like this and still have it remain true.
