"You love your wife. I love your wife! We're on the same side here, aren't we?"

Oof. I can't believe I even watched an hour of that horrid The Cutting Edge sequel/remake that was on tonight. If they'd had D.B. Sweeney and Moira Kelly back to play Doug and Kate, it might have been worthwhile, but that was just...ick. Not that I was expecting anything good to come of that thing, but...yeah. Watched about 10 minutes of the middle of the sequel. Bailed. I'd checked IMDB and seen that DB/Moira were replaced (and that they'd screwed with the timeline enough to make them old enough to have a child of legal age) and made a conscious effort to avoid it. Pox on ABC Family for taking a potentially nice idea and killing it!

Yep. Aside from the timeline issues, I could definitely get behind the idea of them owning an ice rink and having a daughter whom they would inevitably make into an uber-competitive figure skater, but...wow, that was badly-done.

And the people playing Kate and Doug--particularly the guy playing Doug--were totally pod people. Ow. There was no soul behind either of their eyes, for sure.

...and Kate the Blacksmith is the gorgeous Laura Fraser, who also starred as Door in the original BBC Neverwhere. (Which I highly, highly recommend! *g*)

She must be on the BBC TPTB's speed-dial. She's in every period piece known to man. She was in He Knew He Was Right (based on an Anthony Trollope novel) with David Tennant. It's airing on PBS this month, woot!

Indeed...HKHWR actually aired once before. Mom watched...she was kind of annoyed with the story, but DT and LF both did great jobs.

In other news...I've been rewatching the 'Exile' vid a lot lately. You wouldn't happen to know where I could find an mp3 of the song? So gorgeous!

Well, it is Trollope...my understanding is that many people get rather annoyed with him. *g* I meant to read something by him last year, since he set a good number of his works in Exeter, but never got around to it. Ah, well. After graduation, maybe.

It is a pretty song. My copy of the CD its from just arrived two days ago, and I highly recommend it. Great stuff. As for an mp3 of that song...what's your e-mail address?
