Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Ave is a little tall for an elven female, but she still looks quite short next to humans. She's thin with no real muscle to speak of at all.
2. How old is she?
Eighteen.
3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?
Most of the time, Ave has good posture. Around the campfire with her companions, she tends to slouch.
4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
She's generally healthy, except for the darkspawn taint. Using blood magic drains her, and she's often faint after a particularly difficult fight... but she tells her companions it's just exhaustion from magic in general.
5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Ave moves quickly, sometimes even in a staccato fashion.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?
Ave is pretty but nothing extraordinary. She likes to look nice but also knows there are a lot prettier women.
7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
She has a very clear, tanned complexion.
8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.
Ave wears her long, black hair pulled back in a bun, and she does what she can to keep it well cared for, despite the conditions she travels in.
9. What color are her eyes?
Black.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
Her left palm is scarred from being cut for blood magic. She hides it by keeping her gloves on whenever possible.
11. What are her chief tension centers?
Her hands and the base of her neck.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?
Ave loves the robes of mages. The beauty of the robes is perhaps the one thing she still admires about Ferelden's Circle of Magi. Well aware of their magical properties, she keeps several different robes in her pack.
13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?
She is very comfortable in her robes, and they fit her as well as they can. They aren't designed to be entirely form-fitting, but... she sometimes alters them just a bit.
14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?
No matter what she's doing, she wears her robes. (Unless it's something of an intimate nature...)

Briefs.
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Ave's voice is a bit high, but not to so much as to be grating.
2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?
She normally speaks quietly, pausing when she needs to think. Usually sentences (and even paragraphs) are well formed in her head, but she never assumes she knows how a conversation will go.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
For incantions of spells, an enchanter once suggested she set them to rhythm to help remember them, so every incantation she does has a tune she at least hums.
4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?
Common tongue of Ferelden.
5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
No.
6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?
Ave likes to take her time to formulate a reply, though she tries to prepare a list of possible responses before she even hears what someone says, just so she can be ready.
7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Ave is generally fairly eloquent. When she gets emotional and doesn't stop to think about what she's saying, she repeats herself and goes into rants.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?
Ave is very book-smart about the ways of the Tower, but she lacks experience and even schooling on much else.
2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?
She rarely goes into a situation unprepared, but she can change plans if a battle doesn't go well. She doesn't always like to, but she can think on her feet if she needs to.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Usually, Ave is very logical. She tries very hard to be practical, disappointed with where emotional and idealistic thoughts have taken her before.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
She was raised and trained in the Circle of Magi and learned only what the Circle and Chantry approved.
5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?
Ave is very, very good at ice spells. Primal spells in general tend to come more easily to her, and she's very good at basic healing spells. Secretly, she practices her blood magic so as to better control it. Her shapeshifting ability needs a lot of work, though, as do any hexes she tries to learn.
6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?
She's an introvert, though she tries to come off as an extrovert.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Ave is usually fairly even tempered, but when she's in a mood... she's in a mood. She sulks and rages, but her fits are usually over as quickly as they come.
8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
She regards every stranger with suspicion but knowledge that a Gray Warden cannot afford to turn down help when it is offered.
9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?
After saving the Circle, Ave begins to act to drive things forward, rather than simply reacting to the situation around her.
10. Which is her default: fight or flight?
Fight. She often feels that fleeing only invites a chase.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
Ave enjoys listening to her companions argue and mock each other, so long as none of them take what another says to heart. She doesn't tell jokes often, but she always appreciates a companion's attempt at telling her one.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them?
No.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person?
Demanding answers from Mouse in the Fade, helping Jowan destroy his phylactery, accepting Duncan's recruitment offer, saving the mages, sacrificing Isolde, bartering with Connor's demon for blood magic.
14. What does she fear?
Possession. Even as she dabbles in blood magic, Ave fears falling under the control of a demon.
15. What are her hopes or aspirations?
She wants to end the Blight and carve a place for herself in the world, whether as a Gray Warden or not.
16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?
That she's a practicing blood mage.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents.
She doesn't remember them at all.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
If she had any, she's forgotten them. Jowan was always like a brother to her, but she felt betrayed after he fled and left her to face Gregoir's wrath alone.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?
No.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them?
*She feels a kinship and deep admiration for Morrigan and envies that she grew up free of the Chantry.
*Alistair means the world to her, even if she gives him a hard time about having almost become a templar sometimes.
*The mabari war hound she saved at Ostagar has been a faithful companion and protector, and she considers it family.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
Alistair. They met at Ostagar.
6. Does she have other close friends?
*She considers Zevran a good friend, even if they had their differences. She doesn't expect him to stick around once the Blight's over, but she hopes he doesn't disappear out of her life forever.
*She admires Sten, even if he scares her a little.
*Lelianna's faith impresses her, even if Ave has abandoned most of her belief in the Maker... or at least the Maker the Chantry preaches about.
7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people?
Ave has a difficult time really trusting people, though she won't turn away a potential ally.
8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends?
Friends.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once?
Single.
10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
Alistair.
11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest?
Her first crush was a mage apprentice who never returned from his Harrowing. Her latest is Alistair.
12. What does she look for in a romantic partner?
She has a soft spot for those trained to be templars. Probably because she looks for someone capable of protecting her but also because there is something alluring about someone she isn't supposed to have.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any?
Ave has no children, won't ever have children, and is fine with this. She worries that if she ever did have children, the Circle would take them from her.
14. Does she have any rivals or enemies?
*While not an enemy, Ave often finds herself at odds with Wynne about what the Circle's role in Ferelden is, what the templars' responsibilities are, and what it means to be a mage.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale?

Ave is very curious about sex but felt she should wait for the right person to come along before she began to experiment. ...And he did.
17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
Ave likes men who are gentle, and she actually preferred that Alistair had as little experience as she did. She leaves her gloves on during sex to hide the cuts on her palm.
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type?
While not part of Ferelden, I feel that she is best suited to Aquarius and Snake
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life?
Being raised by Chantry dogma only incited slow but certain rebellion in Ave.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
Generally, Ave believes in never harming an innocent. If someone cannot defend themselves and is blameless in a situation, she will not harm them. If truly incensed, though, she can last out.
4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
She listens to all beliefs, trying to find something that suits her well enough to give her back the faith in the Maker that she's lost.
5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them?
After the Circle Tower, Ave distrusts most templars, wary that they'll turn against her. She pities the Tranquil while being unable to see them as fully human.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Ave leads a very comfortable lifestyle where finance is concerned. She keeps her camp well-stocked and her companions well-armed.
2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her?
She is a outsider, through and through. As a mage, she lived apart from everyone other than mages and templars, and as a Gray Warden, she is still separated from most people, though not physically any longer.
3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?
She lives at camp with her companions.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on?
Items that enhance her magic are always a plus, and she has a fondness for trinkets. She hoards little things like dolls and inexpensive jewelry, never having been allowed to have much that was "hers" in the tower.
5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else?
She is a Gray Warden. She feels she's pretty good at it, but she does't really have much to compare herself to. And since she'd otherwise be trapped in the Circle Tower, she's very happy to do it.
6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time?
She loves to stargaze at night and read during the day, especially lore about old and/or forbidden magic.
7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
She eats quite a bit and will drink when her companions are passing around wine or ale.
