Wait - I have an idea which WIP you're referring to, and has it been abandoned? That makes me sad. :(

Have you read "Laura Lives"? That one isn't listed on LJ or SI anymore, but it's on AO3, and it was one of the first Laura/Adar fics I remembered reading.

YES! HER FICS!!! Then, there's the one from tellitslant, this one, which is more gen, but has some wonderful imagery. (She co-authored "Suspend the Rules" with jennyo).

I wish there were more. :(

Like, long juicy ones. :D (*cries over the WIP*)

Yeah, I guess. :D :D :D

Laura acknowledged that this desire to spend time together was due in part to the sex jag they’d been on since the Fleet’s exodus from New Caprica.

Sex jag? Look at that, two sentences in and I learn a new way to describe them frakkin' like pilots. PWP title stripped (heh).

“Well, the heroine is a woman who, despite her willful independence for a variety of reasons, has fallen under the... influence of her power-hungry boss.” It sounded like a trilogy of books that had been popular on Caprica but that she’d never read because she heard they were utter crap.

I...is Bill reading 50 Shades of Grey?

“At his desk?”

“Yes.”

“The desk?”

“Mhmmm.”

AND

“Touch yourself for me?”

“He didn’t ask me. He told me.”

The fingernails of Bill’s free hand scratched against the leather of his couch. “Touch yourself for me.”

Umm hell yeah.

“I don’t settle for lousy ones.”No, you do not, Laura. No, you do not ( ... )

YES. FIC NOW HAS SIGNIFICANCE.

I...is Bill reading 50 Shades of Grey?

--- that just kinda happened so...

I'm glad you liked the old-school, sexy, chill feel of this one. I did too. It was fun to write and there was no pressure to make it anything more than it was. I think there should be a whole sex jaggin' series for them.

THANKS, DUDE IN THE BACK!!!

This was wonderful! I love the playful (but he seemed like he was taking it seriously enough) "owning" bit, and I'm such a fangirl of them being mature and open with each other. When they can be honest about enjoying parts of their old life, their current enjoyment seems that much richer and and more valuable, and they feel more "real".

Plus, the competitive frakking...guh! Them (especially Bill) changing up their ways to fit with his new knowledge of what she'd liked in the past was incredibly hot. Adaptable!lover!Bill rocks :-)

YES. That's a perfect way of describing it.

Bill is pretty much awesome in the lengths he'll go to please his lady. Heh, lengths.

I'm glad you enjoyed this. I liked writing it. I like them being mature and fun and sexy.

Literature leads to porn, because we all know that reading is hella sexy. I approve. :D :P ;)

Oh yes. Books lead to the hot sexy, no doubt about it. It's why they read so much.

:D :D

ba-dum-dum

Sorry, was I supposed to notice something else at the end of the story? Joking.

Did you make a 50 Shades of Grey reference? Because that's fucking hilarious. Still want to read one of them just to see how badly it's written..

I like how they're both so comfortable with 'yes, I did fuck other people before you. This is how it went, it was pretty hot, let's get off on it'.

Yes, I did make a 50 Shades reference. I haven't read them either, but I've read enough about them to know I never want to read them. But Bill apparently bought into the hype.

I'm glad you liked that angle. She certainly did. ;D
