Hannya masks mostly represent women in Noh theater

I ran into that problem while writing this thing, that's why I put something like "my latest victim" trying to show that the character either took the life of a man or a woman, it's very open to interpretation.
And like, Noh theater was mostly men (kinda like Shakespeare times) where men played the women's roles and they used the masks to represent spirits or something like that. Or at least that's what I understood it to be while researching it, lol
