In the face of rock's continuing underpresence at awards shows, Alternate Press has decided to do their own, the AP Music Awards.

Fall Out Boy is up for Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Best Live Band, Song of the Year for "My Songs" and Pete is up for Best Bassist. Fall Out Boy will also be performing live at the ceremony. No clue if this thing is gonna be broadcast or streamed live anywhere, but the amount of hype for it makes me think this isn't gonna be some industry-only small awards ceremony. Some coverage is bound to happen.
...yes, that's correct, Patrick isn't up for Best Vocalist, Joe isn't up for Best Guitarist, and Andy isn't up for Best Drummer. I dunno why either.
