Having it so that the 64 bands are fan-selected is probably for the best, means that the inevitable "lesser known band/band with less of a coordinated fanbase gets steamrolled out of the competition" situation is all but gone, but that means we're gonna be seeing a lot of the same faces...and a lot of the same trouble. If 2013's rounds of button mashing for awards of questionable honor and distinction (and that People's Choice Award win) for Fall Out Boy's behalf have taught us anything, is that Fall Out Boy fans can definitely be heavy contenders...but the chances of actually winning seem to fly out the window once 30 Seconds to Mars is involved. And considering the previous contenders, do we even stand a chance against Tokio Hotel? How they manage to dominate so well despite not having put out a new album since 2009 is beyond me. German science just might truly be the best in the world ( ... )
