Believe me, I've thought about it. If I really thought my truck was capable of making it there and back in its current condition, I'd be thinking about it very fucking seriously.

I'm not sure I'd realized, though, that it would only be two days' driving. Knowing that makes her feel a little bit closer; thanks much.

The greater Austin area experience at least 6 tornadoes that night, one of which was within a couple of miles of our house. Luckily most of them were small and did little damage. Not to mention the fact that you're in much greater danger of being injured driving then by a tornado.

We did return tree safe and sound.
