I found four grammatical errors in the first 20 lines. That's enough to knock me out of the storytelling. Sorry to say this, but you need a better beta.

Thank you for giving it a try and your honest opinion. I'm sorry that those things took away your enjoyment. I have no real excuse for it other than that I should probably give my beta more time next time.
