haha best day at work ever. Get in have a brew talk about football. 11am meeting - where we decide to continue the meeting in 'meeting room 5' which translates to in the pub. Stayed drinking in the pub till half 2 and then back to work where we just chattered till home time ( Read more... )

Too fucking right. It doesn't cost much, it doesn't overly harm production or the business as a whole. It does however motivate the workers. Unfortunately most bosses are more concerned with squeezing every last minute out of their workforce, many of then gladly offering no overtime pay if you decide to be conciencious and work late. The social connection bit is bang on. SOme bosses just seem to stick to the whole superiority routine rather than lower themselves to the level of the work force.

Having said that, it's not too bad at our place. We'd never get to do shit like that though.
