Thank you again for your assistance, Flight.

I was just born into Edensphere. But I do not believe that is an accurate term. I will call myself Handmaiden until I remember my true name.

[She's been staring at the journal as it writes itself. Unsettling. There's a spatter of ink before she replies.]

Thank you, Koi.

Have you been here long?

[Tap tap tap.]

Do you know anything of battle?

Hi! I'm Renae. Welcome to the never-ending weirdness parade. These voices are just the latest phase. You don't HAVE to use the journals, but it makes reaching people a lot easier.

Weirdness parade? This sort of thing is commonplace here?

Hello, Renae. I suppose it is an efficient means to communicate. It feels unusual to not actually see the person I am writing to.

Oh, yeah. We've weirder things, like an attack by fire ants, the tree turning into a coral reef, the tree growing huge boobs and smothering people with them, body-switching, weapons turning into pillows and clothes turning into PJs...and that's just small sample. I'm sure people who've been here longer can think of even weirder stuff.

So, how come you're called Handmaiden? Who were you a handmaiden to?

How do all of these things happen? They sound impossible. (Boobs?)

I do not know exactly who I am a handmaiden to, only that the name seems to suit me. But if I did, I would not wish to say it to someone I only know as words on a page.

Hello, Handmaiden. I go by Juliet.

Yes, most people go by the journals.

Hello, Juliet.

I think I will have some difficulty becoming used to this.

To writing?

So I assume that in your former life people didn't write often...

I am unused to writing in this way, with pen on paper. But written words are [tap tap] imprecise. I would prefer to meet people in person, and perhaps fight them.

Hello, Handmaiden. I am Will, and also a new arrival here; I just hatched last week.

The journal is quite fascinating.

Hello, Will.

I find it to be unnerving. Yet I admit I would like very much to know how it works.

It is a definitely unnerving at first, but I personally got used to it rather quickly. I am curious as to how it works as well; nobody seems to know why.

I dislike communicating solely by the written word. And I have spoken to few people who knows much about why or how things work here.

What do you do here?

Hello, Spike.

I saw that the Guard is not hiring, but if you need any assistance I am willing.

It's much appreciated. It never hurts to have as many eyes and ears open as we can.
