Vampire Academy Cast
In light of Blood Promise i decided to finally put up my cast.Im not really big on the whole movie, seeing what happened to twilight.I dont want it to be anything like twilight [movie and fan wise].But making a cast seems like something to do.This will be edited every now and then once i find new actors and find out other actors cant act. Since i dont have the time to find out if most of theses actors/actresses can act or not, im going based on looks, and maybe age. Please feel free to agree, disagree, or suggest.Do not bash out on these actors that i picked, i just choose them based on looks and age as i said before and we all have different images of the characters in our head. I will categorize each of the characters by when they appear in each book.
For those who havent read all 5 books i suggest you stop reading now!!! There is a light spoiler, so read at your own risk.
But before you see the cast, and hopefully you are all still reading.I agree with Richelle Mead when she says if her VA gets turned into a movie,It'll have to be a cast of unknowns, this is probably the hardest book Ive ever had to cast.

Rose Hathaway

Rose is such a strong beautiful character its hard to find an actress that would fit her. She cant be super skinny and look like she can break in a fight. She should be beautiful but deadly, like Dimitri only female version obviously. Also her who attitude i think is hard to pull off for some actresses. Most characters that know they are good looking are usually suck up, which is deff not Rose. But here are some choices.
Nikki Reed : Yes i know she is in Twilight, though i wish she wasn't. I dont think shes a good Rosalie, the whole pale skin and blond hair doesnt work for her. But her natural skin color and hair matches perfectly with Rosemaire's [aha rose]. I've seen her act like a bad ass in "Thirteen", she played a character who is and knows shes hot and acts like shes all that. So shes got that down. "Thirteen" and "Twilight", are the only movies i have seen her in, so i dont know if shes capable of all that combat. Another thing is that she will probably be to old if VA ever becomes a movie. Which is a shame because she is really pretty.
Sophia Bush : Not really who i like, especially since she is way to old to play Rose. I can she her attitude in "One tree hill" and how she did in "The Hitcher" [even though i never watched it] and she is very pretty and has the body of a Dhampir, but her only problem is age.
Megan Fox : For some reason i just cant picture her as Rose, while alot of people can. Sure she kicked ass in "Transformers", and has that bitchy attitude in "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" and is gorgeous but I cant see it. And i dont know her body seems more Moroi than Dhampir to me as well, but i think that part is just me or maybe al of it xD. And again she would be a bit to old to play Rose when or if a movie comes along.
Odette Yustman : I use her in alot of my graphics. Shes really pretty and sorta has that Dhampir body but i think closer to a Moroi. I haven't seen her act so i can say if she could be a definite Rose, and her age doesnt help either. But i just thought Id like to put her name out there/here.
Missy Peregrym : I don't know why i didn't think of her first. I saw her in "Stick it" and loved her. She has the body and look. Since she was in "Stick it" she probably would be use to the training a Dhampir would get. Also she can easily pull of Rose's attitude and is quite pretty too. only problem? Too old.
Lissa Dragomir
"I can't belive how blind I was. I can't belive i never noticed. Victors comment... he was right.
Why didn't you tell. Why didn't you tell me you loved Dimitri!"
Lissa is what i consider a soft yet beautiful character, if that made any sense. I dont think she would look as strong as Rose would, face wise at least. There should be some vulnerability in her features, and helplessness with a hint of strength. [Is that even possible?]
Ashley Benson : She is just someone i came across. She is really pretty, and has that Moroi look. Her blond hair is what i imagined Liss to have, and with some contacts she could pass deff be a suitable Lissa. Shes about 20 years old which isn't to far from lissa, plus she looks young enough. Only thing is i have no idea how she acts, and from seeing the movies shes in, it looks like shes stuck up but there is a first for everything. She can also be a possible Mia.
Teresa Palmer : Yes shes Australian, but if she could just drop the accent and put on some contacts she looks alot like a Lissa i imagined. She has been in horror to romantic to comedy films. I haven't seen any of her films but it does look like shes trying new genres, which i think is amazing. If only she was a little bit younger, ugh why are all these actresses so old???
Laura Ramsey : Another one i think that looks alot like the Lissa i imagined. I have only seen her in the "Covenant" but from what i saw she played a vulnerablecharacter since she was captured by that evil 5th brother [forgot his name]. Only thing is her age yet again. So im pretty much looking for a younger Teresa or Laura.
Only problem is they are all short...5'4" and teresa is 5' 5¾
Dianna Agron : Lissa came immediately into my mind when i saw her. She has that soft, angelic look thats written all over her. I never seen her act though. I know she is in "Glee", but i have no idea what her character is like. I guess i will just have to watch "Glee" and find out. She is sorta a bit to old for the part too.
Christian Ozera
"I love pity parties. I wish I'd brought the hats. What do you want to mope about first?”
Christian was such a dark character when we all first met him. Its hard to believe he was that same guy in the storage room who everyone believed was going to turn strigoi. I personally love his sense of humor, even if it is dark at some points. His sarcasm is hilarious and so are the fights with him and Rose. But he also has a heart, for Lissa that is.
Nicholas Hoult : He was the first person to cross my mind once Christian was mentioned. His black hair and blue eyes says it all. And if you watched "Skins" you can totally see him as Christian. He already has experience at making fun of people and making sarcastic jokes and can also act very caring too [towards effy or michelle around the second season]. I think he is the idea Christian, hes tall and hes only 20 which isnt to far from Christian. If he just works on his accent he would make a great Christian. He is pretty much one of the few characters that i have a definite actor that has the right look, age and acting skills.
Gaspard Ulliel : Seriously this guy is every where. In most of the books ive read there has been a character suggested as him. First off hes too old to be Christian. Hes french so i think all his movies are all in french which i dont understand, [but if there is an english one please tell me id really like to see him act and be able to understand, and that does not include subtitiles] Maybe a younger Gaspard [cough hoult cough] would do. Ill give him this he does look like an older Christian.
Dimitri Belikov
"That's what I was supposed to say..."
Again a very hard character to cast. I dont know how Richelle managed to write such awesome characters that are impossible to cast. Dimitri should look strong both face and body. Like a brick wall basically, but has to have that hint of kindness and is the hottest thing there is lol. I will deff have to come back in here and fix this up, there are alot i just go on looks and some i dont really think look like Dimitri should.
Ben Barnes : Yea okay he is one [only one] that came to my mind once i tried to pictured Dimitri, but now that i get a good look at him, i have to say i change my mine. His face is too..boyish like? Or to soft for better words. Dimitri has to look strong and hard, impenetrable. Ben just doesnt seem to have that in his features. I think its the hair that make people love him so much, and what made me think of him first. Im not so sure about his acting, hey it could make up for his soft features. Ill have to see. Also he has to get some contacts to make a possible dimitri, sometimes his eyes scare me with its blackness.
Taylor Kitsch : Some one i came across while watching "The Covenant". He has some of those hard features im looking for, not as hot as i would like but still a worthy choice. He can pull off that whole caring thing and look indestructible [even though he did get practically destroyed in "the Covenant" so to speak].
Jared Padalecki : Some one i came across in random VA Casts. He is a possibility, i have no idea how he acts though. Also not really what i imagined what Dimitri would look like but he has the features. Ill have to come back and edit.
All three might be to old to play once or if the movie comes, so they are just a thought.
Steven Strait : The second person to come to my mind. Yes he was a possible Jacob for the movie "Twilight" but there was no real chance he would have gotten casted so i think its safe to consider him. And really hes just about the right age for Dimitri. I only seen him in "Sky High" and "The Covenant" and i must say he looked good in those two movies. Sure it was a few years he filmed those movies, but clean him up and maybe let his hair grow out [hate wigs] and i think he can be a very good Dimitri. He has that sense of duty and not rushing into things in "The Covenant" and he can look very intimidating like in "Sky High". He is the closest one to the Dimitri I imagined. [i wish i had a better picture]
Mia Rinaldi
"Trouble in paradise?"
Mia was a so-so character to cast but still a hard one. Not many can pull off a doll like face yet evil air to them. Who can also change their acting dramatically as Mia did. She went from all bitch to an actually nice person. [cant find a word that rhymed with bitch]
Taylor Momsen : A very popular choice. She does look like a Mia, before she changed her look. I mean i dont hate her look, but personally i liked her better before. [and no not because she looks all emo now which i think thats just sterotype unless i missed some news of her depression] She can act like a total bitch, which she was at some point in "Gossip girl" but also kind and helpful like sweet "little J". But correct me if im wrong, isnt Mia suppose to be short? Taylor is like 5'8", taler than Rose. Maybe a possible Lissa.
Emma Degerstedt : She is pretty close to a Mia i imagined. She has that doll is face, well she did in that show "Unfabulous". She was also a real bitch in that show, so that really reminded me of Mia. I think she could really pull it off, though i have no idea of her acting experience at being nice. She has the blonde hair and blue eyes, and is short and young enough if/when the movie comes.
Dreama Walker : If you haven't watched "Seven Deadly Sins" on lifetime, you better watch it now. That is my Mia, right there. She's short, blonde, wants to be popular. Dreama was also in "Gossip Girl" as one of the popular students at the school. Perfect.
Edit: Oh i forgot she can be manipulative too! <3
Frostbite
Adrian Ivashkov

Ah Adrian, how i love him so. His character has evolved greatly, and now we see how complex he is. He apparently doesn't want to get into any girls pants which i think is a major change of perspective. Hes really a caring guy who really like Rose, and i really hope they get a chance to be together [not that shes just going to forget Dimitri i would neve.
Hayden Christensen : He looks so much like the Adrian i imagined its almost scary. I have not seen him act, [but i am planning on watching Jumper soon] but by the looks of it he can act. Im not sure if he can pull off the whole i want to get into your pants kinda guy, but how hard can it be? I personally like him better with shorter hair, but i think Adrian has longer hair, but hey the movie never really exactly has the right descriptions as the book so who knows. Only think is that he is 28 which is like 7 years from Adrians age, ugh again with the too old actors. So if there is a movie he will be much older which really blows. I really like him as Adrian.
Cam Gigandet : An interesting choice. Again im against the whole twilight cast for VA cast but this is just a suggestion. I haven't really seen him play out side of "Twilight" or "Never Back Down", so for his acting im still unsure. He played the "evil" or "asshole" character in those movies, which dont really describe Adrian. But it is called acting so maybe he can pull it off -shrugs- only thing is hes just a year yonger than Hayden..sigh.
Ed Westwick : Okay ill admit he was the first one to come to mind. But not for the looks only the acting as Chuck Bass in "Gossip Girl". His voice has that mysteriousness im looking for and he does try to get into everyones pants which is why he popped into my mind first. Only thing is that i dont really want him as adrian. Sure he is good looking [i dont think hes that good looking as much as other people do] and got the voice down and acting and is of the right age but the look just isnt right even with the make over i gave him in photoshop, or at least tried to give him. Id rather he stay Chuck just the way i like it lol.
