I'm just ... stunned ... I actually finished a story. At last. It's been sooo long.

I'm so amused.

It's sort of like the guy who wrote Arsenic & Old Lace. He thought he'd written a dark, depressing story about evil in the benign form of two little old ladies. And then the curtain rose on the first night, and the audience laughed hysterically at one line after the other.

We don't know our own writing.

They are such wonderfully amusing characters. Ridiculous and selfless and brave and just-shy of crazy. I can totally understand being wildly amused by this story and also feeling gutted. It's both dark and light.

How in the world did you pull that off??
