Title: The Boy Who Leapt Through Time 2
Author: icarus_fly
Pairing: Daiki Arioka x Adventures HAHAHAHA! Dai-chan X OC <3
Summary : Daiki gets lost in space. LOL
Warning: It's something weird. Not shoujo-ish, sorry.

“Onii-chan, daijoubo desu ka?”

Daiki looked up to see two boys looking down on him. His head hurt from both rolling and bumping. He tried to sit up when he heard gunshots coming from all directions. Startled, he stood up and grabbed the boys’ hands as they ran off to who-knows-where.  They ran until something like a cottage was seen. The gunshots stopped but they were replaced with the deafening sound of bombs. Yes, bombs. They ducked their heads but continued to run to wards the only place they think was safest. But just when they were meters away from the cottage, it disappeared into flames. Daiki could only gape at the sight before him. He didn’t even hear the cry of the younger boy who was clutching his jeans.

“Stop crying Kousuke! The soldiers might hear us!”

Soldiers?  What Soldiers? Wait, where am I anyway? This is so not Tokyo!

“Hey kid, where are all the people? Did you just say soldiers? Why are there soldiers?”

“Onii-chan, I don’t know where okaa-an and otou-san are. Kousuke and I just woke up this morning, alone in our house. Our neighbors are nowhere to be found too. And the soldiers? Otou-san said it’s been two weeks since those American soldiers came and destroyed our fields. “

America soldiers. Great. Just great. What is this? A war movie?

“What’s your name kid?”

“I’m Haru and this is my brother Kousuke. You’re not from here, are you onii-chan? Your hair color is different. You have black hair under orange hair. And you have different clothes.”

“This…” Daiki pointed at his hair, “is called hair highlight.  And my clothes are fashionable in Tokyo, Kousuke.” he sounded boastful.

“Tokyo? Where is that Onii-chan?” the boy asked in an innocent tone - one that didn’t sound like a joke.

Daiki sighed. “If this is not Tokyo, then where in Japan am I?!!” He almost cried.

Just then, they heard another set of gunshots and this time they sounded closer. Daiki pulled the boys closer to him . A soldier saw them and aimed his weapon at them.

This is my last good deed here on earth. He hugged the boys tightly forming a human shield in front of the soldier. There was no time to run. They all closed their eyes and waited. A few seconds passed and nothing happened. Then they heard a thud like something hit the ground hard. They opened their eyes and saw a ninja standing on top of the dead soldier, holding a bloody blade.

Please tell me this is a dream. No one moved a muscle.

“Daijoubo ka?” the ninja called in a rough voice.

The three boys just stared. The ninja soundlessly moved towards them and took off the black cloth on its face.

“Oi, daijoubo ka?” it called again but this time in a calmer tone.

Daiki gulped in awe. The ninja’s eyes were the most beautiful eyes he had seen in his entire life and her long black straight hair held in a ponytail, emphasized her features. Yes, the deadly ninja turns out to be the girl of his dreams.

“Uwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!” Haru and Kousuke cried as they ran to the ninja.

“Shhhhhh…It’s all over now. You’re safe.” The ninja hushed.

Daiki’s mouth was hanging open when the ninja turned to him.

She looked at him in suspicion. “You’re not from here.” The sound of doubt was evident in her tone.

He could not think of anything right to say. One word just came out of his mouth and he said it in desperation.

“Help?”

After some convincing ‘I-came-from-the-future’ explanation and a sweet self-introduction from Daiki, the ninja, whose name was Noriko, did her turn of explaining and Daiki learned that he was caught in a war in the Tokugawa Era!

“Great! Just great! Can somebody tell me why I ended up here? In this era? My great-grandfather wasn’t even born!” Daiki cried in desperation. But he felt gentle hands pat his back. Noriko was staring deep into his eyes trying to sympathize with his poor situation. Daiki just melted in her gaze.

At least I got to meet someone like you…

And with a voice like that of an angel, she said “Arioka-san, I am not sure if this can help you but I think I know of someone who knows something about your problem.” Daiki could only nod. What choice did he have anyway?

They hid Haru and Kousuke in a safe ninja-hideout near the foot of a mountain and planned for the search.

“Onii-chan, ganbatte! I hope you get back to your real home! Thank you for saving us!” Haru shouted as he and Kousuke waved goodbye at Daiki and Noriko who took off on a horse.

They had to find a witch named Imouno, who was rumored to create potions of time. Noriko just heard that she was usually roaming around the marketplace and they had been walking around the marketplace for hours already but no suspicious, witch-looking someone caught their attention. It felt like a dead end and Daiki’s stomach was about to betray him. They heard the sound of hungry stomachs which made them look at each other and they ended up laughing. Their journey sure made them weak with hunger so they decided to walk inside a restaurant and have ramen.

It would have been his first meal for the day but when four people sat just across their table; Daiki forgot about hunger and instead doubted his sanity for the second time.

He stood up and walked across the food shop right to where the four people where sitting and just stood there in amazement.

“The boy is staring at us. Do we know him?” The girl in a blue kimono spoke.

“No. Do you know him Yoshi?” The tallest guy who was bringing a katana asked one of his companions.

“No.” The shortest guy answered. “Do you know him Kenshin?”

This time the center of Daiki’s amazement spoke. “I do not know him but it seems he is one not from this country.” They all nodded as they studied Daiki from head to toe.

Daiki took one more step forward. “Awesome! I really wanna believe you’re the real thing but man, you guys cosplay so good! I’m nearly convinced! Haha!” Silence filled the air. “That’s cosplay right?” Daiki asked nervously.

The one named Yoshi frowned at Daiki’s choice of words. “Cosplay? What’s cosplay?”

But instead of nervousness and shame, amusement shot up in Daiki’s expression now that he realized this was no cosplay thing.

Yamada will hate me for this. I could have brought a camera or something…

“Arioka-san!” Noriko stood up and pulled Daiki back to his seat before they could cause a commotion.

“I’m sorry if we caused a misunderstanding here. My friend here claims he came from the future and we are just looking for Imouno to help him with his problem. He has been acting strange so please forgive his rudeness.” Noriko bowed in behalf of Daiki’s “strange acts”.

“Did you say Imouno?” Kaoru asked.

Noriko looked up and Daiki was slightly distracted from his daydreaming. They both nodded in response.

Kaoru knew about Imouno and shared to them her secret hideout just because Daiki was “fanboying” over her Kenshin. Daiki could almost kiss the legendary Kenshin Himura when they bid goodbye but they had to hurry. They must catch a witch after all.

They reached the witch’s shack and silently crawled inside not to make any necessary noise to disturb her. Daiki had no idea in dealing with witches; he never believed in them until today. He just swallowed hard and breathed a handful of air, just in case.

They could smell something awful and burnt as they tiptoed towards what they thought as a living room.

“Welcome to the past young one.” A woman, who didn’t sound like a witch at all, spoke from behind the big chair. They couldn’t see her, just her silhouette.

Daiki was about to say something when he was cut off by Imouno.

“I tell you boy… I have not yet perfected it yet. There is a great risk of failing.”

Daiki hesitated but continued “I have to take all the chances I have here. I have to go back. I have a concert to attend to.”

The witch giggled. “I will not force you but you must know that you have to face whatever consequences.”

“I’m ready. Bring it on!” Daiki blurted out.

Imouno stood up from her chair but she did not face them still. “Pour him a cup of coffee dear.” It sounded like she was addressing it to Noriko.

“What? Coffee? I’ve had enough coffee today. No thanks.” Daiki answered.

Imouno stomped her right foot in annoyance. “Do you want to return to where you came from boy?” Daiki could imagine her shooting him a deadly glare.

Noriko hurriedly gave Daiki the cup in fear that the witch might transform her into something. Daiki was hesitating when he remembered his first encounter with coffee.

He stared at the cup in his hands. “So the coffee brought me back in time, huh?”

“…through space and places son.” Imouno continued. Daiki contemplated on that one.

“Alright. If it takes me back to reality.” He poured the coffee on his sneakers, for the second time in that day.

“These were new.”

He felt the liquid sip into his feet. He felt that he was doing the right thing. He turned to Noriko was confused.

“Noriko-chan, thank you for saving my life…for helping me find Imouno, for giving me a chance to meet Kenshin Himura in the flesh!” He held her hands and looked her in the eyes. “I really like you. You’re one hot chick, I tell you. I wish I could meet someone like you when I get back.” With this he kissed her on the cheek. Actually, he was hesitant to kiss her on the lips, but he remembered that she was a ninja, and maybe, just maybe, kissing her on the lips would be the last of his days.  This took her aback but also made her blush.

Bingo!

He knew what to do next. He went out to the streets and prepared to run. He waved at Noriko before he hit the road, running. He stumbled and began rolling until he bumped into something hard. His head was still spinning when he heard someone say “He’s back.”

That was Chap 2 ladies and gents and if you are reading this, I want to congratulate you for making this far. I still don’t know why I’m writing this. Oh, maybe because my sis is forcing me to finish it.
I openly accept criticisms; they say it makes one become a better person.

I love Samurai X; the cameo is lousy but I tried my best. Hehe. Will be typing chap 3… it’s still on scratch paper.
