They're our best chance at getting more answers.

A lot of people weren't too thrilled with all the info we got. But they kept saying something-- their ancestors are the ones who started this whole thing. So wouldn't their ancestors have left some sort of record somewhere? And I don't mind the vague things that the Captains have told us. Their ancestors seemed rather intelligent, I doubt they didn't keep a journal of some sortl

The Captains might not know about it, but keeping them around would probably help our chances in finding it.

You can't hear me, but I'm sighing. I don't really want anything to happen to them. I'm frustrated. It doesn't help that the Captains have been so closed off outside of announcing when things go crazy with the Improvability Drive. The fact they don't seem to know much about what's really going on or where or how to make this happen is confusing, and for how long have refugees from simultaneously destroyed planets been planned to end up here?

Which is why I think we need to investigate more. The Captains aren't the bad guys here. In fact, they seem to be as stuck in this mess as we are.

There's no excuse if it's not part of what you literally need to survive. Murder isn't a survival skill, anyway. Call it hunting if that's what you have to do, but killing people without a purpose outside of making yourself feel better?
