Today i had to have my precious Dunkin' euthanized. She was 'fine' earlier in the day. And when I came home from work, was demanding to be fed, as usual. I was lounging in bed watching a Highlander episode and she jumped up on the bed and curled up by my feet. So sorry for your loss.. I just posted on fb to a friend that had to put his dog down, sometimes we have to love them that much..:(:(

Thank you. My animals have always been family members. And I guess they wouldn't be worth having if we didn't love them that much. My heart goes out to your friend who had to put his dog down.
I picked her up today and got her buried next to Tessa. Will plant wildflowers on it in the spring. Tessa has a Dominic Lily on hers.

Oh, ib, I am SO sorry. Dunkin' had a very long and happy life with you, but I know it just makes it harder to lose her after so many years. Even after five years, I still miss my Bobby (who died at 18 1/2 years). It's always the most difficult part of loving a cat or dog; you know that you'll probably see them grow old and pass away. Dunkin' was fortunate to have you as her guardian. She loved you very much and stayed with you as long as she could.
