This premise for this is wonderful and the story so lovely! Sad too, but for a city of forgotten gods no other tone is appropriate.

This is really gorgeous. I love the idea of a city of forgotten gods, you have such a wonderful subtle touch in conveying the longing between your characters. Great story.
