This piece is so quiet and demure and sedate, making the reader face the wisdom of the old ones, watching it all play out. Like a calligraphy painting on a scroll silently coming to life. I loved this, thank you.

This is a really lovely story. I love the details of it; the creatures, the sights, and the sounds. It feels so evocative, so real. I love the ending too, because in a way it's what's been coming all along, and yet it was stills surprising. Awesome, excellent job. I love this.

eerie and wonderful. you have the uncanny ability to pack so much meaning into so few words; the spaces, the breaths in between, seem to hold so much. i love how the characters have the feel of elemental creatures who live outside of human "morals". beautiful story.

The forest has rules and claws that the humans know little off, and they remember less and less as the years slip by. Nice.

I like how concise this story is, in its sections and its prose, while still having a broad cast of characters.
