I liked this a great deal! I liked how the third shadow-man is using a squalling sheep to cover its face, how the first is using a happy cloud, and how it looks like the second is using a really long spiral of cotton candy. I like how the kids seem simultaneously nonplussed and not-entirely-fooled. ;) Lovely work, thanks for sharing it with us!
I suppose it's a good thing that the bad shadowmen are a bit clueless about how to look harmless! ;P
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I really wasn't expecting something like this to pop out when I first started the piece-- it was supposed to be something else altogether!
Haha, I think I love that. A wonderfully whimsical little piece. Are they... wearing latex gloves, there? it looks a bit like it, in which case: extra creepy. I like how the kids just look so skeptic. XD
I love how rich the colors are, and yet at the same time, there is this sense of them being duller than they normally would be-- as if it IS approaching dusk. Stay near the light, kids! D:
Yes! Those are latex gloves. I wasn't sure if that came across. :D And thanks, I'm glad you like it. This was really a surprising piece for me-- it kind of popped out all by itself without any planning.
Fantastic colors, and the texture of them is nice, too. The kids are adorable, but the creatures are shudderingly eerie (in a good way). Very, very well done. ^^
Thank you! I always find that some semblence of normality to be a lot more scary than actual monsters and goulies-- and they're trying so hard to be harmless!
