Summary Sesshoumaru contemplates his next move against Inuyasha knowing that his brother cannot kill him.
Sessshoumaru examined himself. Finally, recovered from Inuyasha’s Windscar. Another bit of foolishness he had gotten himself into. In fact nothing good had happened to him since he began to search for Tessaiga
The battle in the tomb had not gone as he wished. He tried ignoring Inuyasha, but the fool kept coming after. He tried to take the sword but the sword would not allow it. He tried killing Kagome but the sword protected her. All it was inspire Inuyasha to great fury
As a last resort he tried overwhelming Inuyasha with his true form. All that did was lose his arm
He was lucky. The sword could have killed him for what he did. Instead, it punished him by taking his non-sword arm instead of his head.
He had tried taking the sword using an arm attached by a jewel shard from Naraku. That adventure nearly got him killed by the very arm.he had gripped Tessaiga with. He was lucky that Inuyasha ripped the arm off Otherwise Naraku would have killed him to get back his shard.
His latest adventure had not gone any better. It was his own poison which forced Inuyasha to smell the Windscar. For his part he lost control and barely escaped with his life, Transforming in the midst of battle what was he thinking.
His loss and Inuyasha’s discovery of the Windscar might seem to represent his greatest defeat. Instead it was his greatest opportunity. In his moment of defeat he realized that Inuyasha had revealed his greatest weakness.

He had not swung the Tessaiga with his full strength. If he had, not even Tessaiga’s barrier might have saved him. His little brother could simply not bring himself to kill Sessshoumaru. A strange feeling to know that a person you always hated let you live.
Sessshoumaru smiled. He had always wondered if he let Inuyasha live for some reason. There were so many times he could have killed the boy when he was young. Even in the last three fights there were moments when Inuyasha should have died if he had simply put forth the effort to kill him.
Instead, Inuyasha had gained the sowed and now the ability to find the Wndscar.His little brother was now a formidable opponent, but not invincible one. He had tried fighting Inuyasha without the sword and failed. Tried fighting Inuyasha with the sword and failed.
Since he had found Inuyasha’s weakness, he needed to exploit. Even though Inuyasha could not kill him, Tessaiga could still injure him. He needed a sword to match Tessaiga. Totosai was the logical person to craft such a weapon, but he had already antagonized him by trying to kill him
No The person he needed to was someone who hated Totosai as much as he did at the moment. That person would be Totosai’s former apprentice. Together they would give Tessaiga a run for its money.
Once he had a weapon equal to Tessaiga he would not hold back. Unlike Inuyasha this Sessshoumaru had no qualms about killing his little brother. The next time they met would be their last.
He had sought Tessaiga because he wanted his father’s power and weapon in order to be the daiyouai that his father was. If he forged his own weapon and killed Inuyasha he could discard Tessaiga
Sessshoumaru would no longer need his father’s power to be his own man. He would find his own power. To think he had his power to thank for all this. His brother had spared his life. Now he would pay his brother back for his kindness by killing him.
How ironic. He would show his brother what true kindness.was by killing him .Inuyasha was better off dead than running around in his present form. Abominations such as hanyou were a blight on his family and not fit to live. Sessshoumaru would give the most kindest cut of all to Inuyasha Then he would no longer have to live as a hanyou. That would be a blessing to Inuyasha
