[Sniper wakes up with a start, clutching at his chest as his heart pounds. Does he know it's Cloud's dream for sure? No. But he's pretty sure it was, and the thought that Cloud has such nightmares is more unsettling than the dream itself. Besides, he doesn't remember who else was killed by Apostle, and he doesn't particularly care. He only cares for his friend. His shoulders cave inwards as he thinks.
He's been withdrawn lately, he knows that, but he can't seem to get Chivalry's dream out of his head. He can't seem to get his own impotence out of his head. It's a terrible, sinuous thing that he cannot get rid of, that has been following him for some time. It's just harder to shove it back, sometimes. A pang of guilt hits him now, however

[If not for Cloud's face, she'd almost think this was her own dream, her own nightmare - it's been a while, but she still has them occasionally. She wakes up with a start, and it takes a full cup of tea and some painting before she's calm enough to sleep again]
[This is the second nightmare that wakes him in one night. Hawk comes awake sharply this time, groping for a weapon, halfway certain that he'll find someone looming over him in the darkness of the room.
Apostle. The god-crazed murderer. He vaguely remembers Cloud among the dead. There was no personal connection to any of the victims then. That, too, has changed.
Quietly, he goes to stir the banked fire in the hearth. He doesn't even contemplate a return to bed, though it's still wholly dark outside. Tea, and breakfast, and perhaps Huo will wake more gently to keep him company in not too long a while.]
